The installation consists of two counters. The floor counter continuously counts the suicide number in the US according to data obtained from WHO. The number on the counter screen shows the accumulation of estimated deaths on the project’s 24th day. The wall counter counts down the remaining days of the artist’s life based on a standard life expectancy calculator. Each day as the wall counter counts down, the motor turns at 9 am to stretch the rubber band, and at 5 pm releases its tension.
